27-30 June 2019 | Mont Blanc | France and Italy

Raw. Wild. Fresh.

You. Nature. The mountain.

Painting. Poetry. Music.

With the wind, the sun, the snow, the rain, with clear skies. In a state of creative flow, it's just you and every blade of grass. Dancing. In time. As one.

Exploring the world like a child again. This is life.

Exhilarating, freeing, elevating, transforming, elevating, awakening the creativity inside you. In the richness of connection with self and within the community, a breakthrough emerges.

Gratitude. Love. Exponential healing.

This is life. This is it. Reach out to join us.

Alexander Inchbald's passion is purpose, creativity and innovation. He paints in extreme locations all over the world to explore what it takes to be creative everywhere.

Each experience whether it be Mont Blanc, Mount Fuji, or the Russian Caucasus leads to a feeling of oneness with nature, even when it is snowing, stormy or windy. The environment appears to help: as soon as Alexander stops resisting it and starts integrating the wind or snow into the painting, he appears to step into another world where everything is in flow. With his partners, he uses these insights to elevate leaders, their teams and organizations to rediscover their true nature, often in the world’s most inspiring locations.

Alexander published his first book #Balance in 2018. He is founder of The (artist) inside, a partner of Ashoka, a Master Trainer at the Entrepreneur’s Institute, and is currently working with the Presencing Institute’s S-Lab to use art to reconnect communities. He lives in France with his beautiful wife and two wonderful children, Sasha and Daniel.

Dulia’s passion in life is to support her fellow humans to spread their wings and reach for their North Star. Along with her power to inspire and accompany profound transformation in people and organizations, Dulia brings a unique blend of mindfulness training, intuitive healing, and playful creativity as an artist, a dancer and a lover of nature and mystical teachings.

What we will cover

  • 1

Dive into flow in the shadow of Mer de Glace

If the secret of life is flow - finding it, expanding it, sustaining it - it is fitting that we start our Mont Blanc adventure at the end of the longest glacier in France, the Mer de Glace. This is the same glacier that inspired Mary Shelley to create Frankenstein and explore what the psychologist Carl Jung called the shadow - that part of us which restricts or enables creative flow. We will meet at 16h00 for introductions and our first module at the iconic Grand Hotel Montenvers just above the glacier. This is where Mary Shelley and other Romantics including Wordsworth, Byron, Coleridge and Goethe stayed here on their Grand Tour of Europe. After a welcome drink and a powerful healing session to frame our adventure, we will enjoy a hearty mountain meal in the Restaurant du Montenvers.

  • 2

    Explore the heights of creation

The following morning, after breakfast, we will descend into the depths of the Mer de Glace to visit the ice cave and continue integrating our shadow. From there, we will visit The Gallery of Crystals where we will explore the power of the mountains to create. Then, we will return to the hotel where we will have lunch on the panoramic terrace overlooking the glacier. In the afternoon, we will walk up above Montenvers to a plateau where we will meditate before creating art overlooking the Mer de Glace. We will return to Montenvers by taking the Balcon du Nord trail, which winds its way back to our hotel. In the evening, we will again dine in the Restaurant du Montenvers, before one more healing session.

  • 3

Walk across the roof of your world

On the third day, we will take the cog train back down into the valley of Chamonix and walk to the Aiguille du Midi lift. This spectacular cable car will whisk us at high speed over the wild flower meadows of Mont Blanc, up to a land of snow and ice and the Glacier du Géants, the source of the Mer de Glace. At l’Aiguille du Midi, each of us will have a chance to step into The Void, a glass cube, perched over a 2,000 metre drop to experience what it's like to be held despite our fears. Then, we will walk from France to Italy, across the glacier with guides, and into your new world. Once again, we will face our fears as we walk across the ridge from L’Aiguille du Midi onto the glacier. This adventure will take us around Mont Blanc, past seracs and crevasses, over the roof of Europe, to Punta Helbronner. We will stay at 3,200 metres in the high-mountain hut, Refuge de Torinno, right next to the glacier.

  • 4

    Grounding the energy

On the final morning, after a breakfast alongside some of the world’s élite climbers, we will create another collaborative painting, this time with a stunning view overlooking the Aosta Valley. After reviewing what you have learnt about the art of creation and insight into your purpose and place in the world, we will then descend towards Courmayeur. We will stop at the Pavillon Mont Fréy to ground our energy and walk around the alpine garden, before lunch at the Restaurant Bellevue. From there, we will descend into the valley of Courmayeur, finishing around 16h00. You will have the option of staying one more night in Courmayeur at an exclusive spa hotel, before heading home.

These tools helped me to transform my life... moving from Director of one communications agency to CEO of another.

Mark Harrison, CEO, CheethamBell JWT

What makes this approach and Alex special is it provides exactly what I need when I need it.

Riccardo Bellini, CEO, Maison Margiela

Dulia is the very BEST facilitator and coach I ever had when it comes to team and individual development. Her work with me in three different settings was outstanding.

Gabriel Risse, Head of Diagnostics Governance & Services, Multinational Healthcare Company

The team was really full of energy and connection for each other with a clear focus on how do we become an even more effective leadership team and have some fun along the way. Keep building these environments where it is safe for leaders to be vulnerable and to learn from these insights, Dulia.

Geoff Twist, Managing Director UK & Ireland, Multinational Healthcare Company

Alex delivers solid and near-immediate results that can enable breakthroughs- for organizations but also individuals fortunate enough to spend time with him. He inspires with authenticity and challenges by example. His body of work is rapidly becoming a new way of thinking that I believe could transform at scale the way we approach, and leverage creativity, innovation, and relationships.

Joseph Leenhouts-Martin, Senior Director, Johnson & Johnson Global Public Health

With Alex’s guidance, I had my team work on finding their life’s purpose, sharing them with one another was one of the most meaningful team exercises I have ever done, it allowed us to understand each other’s passions and unite our energy to create a new team purpose that everyone sees themselves in.

The Venue | Mountain Refuges around Mont Blanc

We will be staying in some of the most iconic, innovative and stunning locations in The Alps, above Chamonix in France, and Courmayeur, across the border in Italy. The towns nestle beneath the awe-inspiring Mont Blanc, the tallest mountain in Western Europe. Chamonix is the home of freeride skiing - it was invented here in the 1980s - it is also one of the leading climbing and mountaineering capitals in the world and has seen many other groundbreaking inventions - the Tunnel de Mont Blanc, which connects France to Italy - the Aiguille du Midi cable car - a breathtaking ride to within almost touching distance of Mont Blanc and the Void, a glass cube with a 2,000 metre drop beneath it. Across the border, Courmayeur has recently seen its own innovation come to life, the Skyway Monte Bianco which provides non-mountaineers intimate access to the peaks.
